My work is heavily influenced by my San Francisco upbringing and being Black, Chinese, and Filipino. While there are challenges like stereotypes  between these cultures, I celebrate their blend through my art. I enjoy incorporating traditional Cheongsams and Black hairstyles in pastel colors, creating large fantasy portraits of women alongside my favorite childhood characters. Acrylic is my favorite medium for its vibrant layering, allowing me to express my flowing style and embrace natural effects, as seen my piece "Curly Slime," which symbolizes my pride in my hair texture and blended heritage.
